LAVERSTOCK & Ford made it back-to-back wins with a comfortable 4-0 home success against Andover New Street on Saturday.
Tom Mundy opened the scoring after 16 minutes and Paul Gulliver doubled the lead six minutes before half-time. Robbie Gallagher netted in the 81st minute, and substitute James Clifton struck three minutes from time.
They travel to Hengrove Athletic for an FA Vase tie on Saturday. Ollie Batchelor and Jamie Smith scored for the reserves in a 2-1 win at East Cowes Victoria on Saturday.
Amesbury Town lost 3-1 at home to New Milton Town. Rob Teppett slotted the visitors in front after 11 minutes, then Tyler Brockway headed an equaliser on the halfhour mark. Rich Proctor almost put the Blues ahead in spectacular fashion shortly afterwards, hitting the bar with an audacious lob from near the centre circle.
Sam Bayston restored New Milton’s lead six minutes after the restart, and the scoring was ended after 65 minutes. Sam Carter’s shot hit the post and rebounded off goalkeeper Joey McEntee into the net.
The Blues will travel to Devizes Town in the first round of the Wiltshire Senior Cup on Saturday, October 12, when Laverstock will make the short trip to Shrewton United.
