VERWOOD Town fought hard in the thumping rain in their derby with Bournemouth Poppies and they were set to take home a well-earned point until the 86th minute.
Luke Ingram was on target to take the points on a dismal night, which has dropped the Potters down to 16th in Sydenhams Premier Division.
A quick recovery is in order for Adie Arnold’s side when they host Blackfield and Langley at Potterne Park on Saturday (3pm).
Blackfield are currently pushing for promotion but were held to a draw on Tuesday night by strugglers Downton.
Ringwood Town had a weekend off after their clash with Amesbury town was postponed.
They do have another derby day on Saturday with Laverstock & Ford, a side that haven’t featured for a month in Sydenhams Division One.
