LACKLUSTRE Laverstock & Ford remain pointless two games in to Wessex Division One after coming out on the losing end of a see-saw showdown with United Services Portsmouth.
Elliott Wykes, Louis Elder and Spencer Horton all found the score sheet at the Dell but the hosts still suffered a 3-4 defeat.
Lavvy boss Robbie Lakeman, though, remains optimistic despite his side sitting third from bottom.
He said: “Performance wise we were 10 times better than last week which we can certainly build on going into the coming games.
“However, individual mistakes all over the pitch inevitably cost us the game. If we can cancel these out we are not a million miles away from getting points on the board but it’s up to all of us to get sharper and show more conviction in front of goal to put these games to bed.”
Lavvy host Hythe and Dibden on Saturday (3pm).
