SKIPPER Jack Slade pounced with a last-gasp strike to pinch a second straight win at newly promoted Team Solent.

The Bemerton Heath Harlequins ace strolled through on goal in the 92nd minute and kept his calm by lofting the ball over the on-rushing keeper to provide the only piece of brilliance in a game lacking quality.

The goal looked like it would never arrive for Heath after two chances went begging.

Josh Hazell went through one-on-one but the keeper smothered his effort and then the visitors had a goal ruled out for offside.

Head coach Graham Kemp said: "The first half felt like a training game."

"The pitch was so good that neither side really went for the points. However, we dug deep and got our rewards in the last minute. We have a great spirit here and it showed in the way we kept going."

"We move onto Moneyfields (Saturday) where we hope to keep up with the leaders."

Bemerton are now unbeaten in four games in all competitions.
