DANNY Finnigan, Cameron Roach and Tyler Brockway all had their say in Amesbury Town's 3-1 victory at Christchurch.

Blues waited 26 minutes for the opener as Finnigan controlled a high ball before smashing it past Andy Knights in the Priory goal.

The hosts were back on level terms eight minutes later as Christer Warren rounded Paddy Creese.

Gareth Horner's men restored their advantage a minute before the interval when Connor Palmer's splitting pass found Roach who slid the ball past the advancing Knights.

In the closing stages, Blues made sure of the points from 12 yards after a controversial penalty was awarded.

Craig Wheeler was tripped in the box and Brockway duly dispatched the resulting spot kick.

Following the game, Adie Arnold, once of Verwood Town, stepped down as Christchurch manager after spending 16 months at Hurn Bridge.
