SALISBURY FC and Laverstock and Ford have been drawn away ties in the first round proper of the FA Vase.

A trip to Western League Division One outfit Calne Town is where Whites will travel, while Lavvy will play the winner of United Services Portsmouth or 2014 victors Sholing, who lock horns tonight in a replay following a 1-1 draw on Friday night.

The games will take place on Halloween (October 31), with a 3pm kick off.

The winners will advance into the second round and bank £900 in prize money.

Whites manager Steve Claridge said: "I would have preferred to be at home but we can't be too unhappy."

!It's a game against a team from a level below so it gives us a good chance to progress."

"It's going to be about getting our attitude right on the day. If we don't - and I've seen it before in these types of games - we are going to have problems.

"It's probably a good draw for both clubs. It's not too far for our fans to go across the county and Calne should get a good crowd out of it so hopefully everyone will enjoy the day."

Salisbury reached the first round with a 4-1 win over Folland Sports and Laverstock prevailed over Cowes Sports, a league higher than them, 2-0 at the Dell.
