CONFIDENT Robbie Lakeman is bidding to mastermind a second FA Vase shock after drawing big guns Sholing FC in the first round proper.

A surprise upset over Cowes Sport booked Lavvy's place in the next stage where they aspire to spook the 2014 winners on Halloween.

The Wessex Premier heavyweights thumped United Services Portsmouth 6-0 in a replay to assure of their place.

After Monday's draw, co-manager Lakeman told JournalSport: "We will go there with no fear and look forward to what will be a huge challenge. They have stuttered a bit against a couple of sides from our league this season, if they take us lightly and we reach the level of performance we are capable of, an upset wouldn’t surprise me.

"These are the games we as a group will learn from and you probably won’t find a tougher test at our level so we literally have nothing to lose by going there and giving it our best shot."

Also on the Wembley trail are Salisbury FC who travel to Calne Town, of Western League Division One, after a 4-1 rout in the second qualifying round over Folland Sports.

Chief Steve Claridge says he was hoping for a tie at their Ray Mac fortress.

"I would have preferred to be at home but we can’t be too unhappy," he said. “It’s a game against a team from a level below so it gives us a good chance to progress.”

“It’s going to be about getting our attitude right on the day. If we don’t – and I’ve seen it before in these types of games – we are going to have problems.

“It’s probably a good draw for both clubs. It’s not too far for our fans to go across the county and Calne should get a good crowd out of it so hopefully everyone will enjoy the day.”

The winners will bank £900.
