RINGWOOD Town became the first side to wreck Amesbury Town's unbeaten record in Sydenhams Wessex Division One with a 2-1 victory.
It was a sorry afternoon for the Blues whose depleted squad meant that boss Gareth Horner had little option but to emerge from the bench for the first time since December 2012.
In truth, Ringwood were worthy winners at Long Lane as Amesbury failed to hit the early season form which has propelled them to second in the league.
Ben Harris put the Long Lane outfit ahead before Blues top scorer Danny Finnigan nailed his 11th goal for the leveller.
But Matt Steer restored Ringwood's lead quickly and Amesbury couldn't find a way through for a second equaliser.
The defeat sees Amesbury remain in second but are now seven points adrift of leaders Portland United, who thumped Downton 5-0.
Both Salisbury sides will be looking to avenge their defeats when they go head-to-head for what promises to be a fiery Halloween derby at Bonnymead Park.
