CRESTFALLEN boss Graham Kemp has reassured fans that he will turn around Bemerton Heath Harlequins' dire run of four successive defeats in Sydenhams Wessex Premier, which sees them slip to 13th.

Kemp vented his feelings after Heath were crushed 4-0 at home to Newport IOW on Tuesday night.

In three of Heath's last games, they leaked 13 goals, a dismal record Kemp was hoping to banish.

And their defence kept tight until the stroke of half time. A woeful pass was intercepted and Connor Kelly, in the third minute of stoppage time, delivered the blow.

Kelly was influential in Newport's second goal, turning assist to slot Jimmy Burton through who made no mistake in firing home on the hour mark.

At this point, Bemerton looked deflated and, consequently, conceded a third three minutes later.

Liam Triggs skipped down the left flank and crossed for Burton, who netted his second with a left-footed effort into the bottom corner.

And Triggs found a space again for a fourth goal.

Bemerton's best chance landed in the 81st minute, striker Tom Jeffes going through on goal, only to be denied by Cameron Farley.

Jeffes tested Farley's mitts again but the keeper was equal to the effort.

Kemp said: "At this moment in time we're clearly not good enough."

"We are low on confidence both defensively and we don't look like scoring either. We need to regroup and get back to how we were at the start of the season.

"It's a worrying run but am confident we'll turn things around."
