CAPTAIN Jack Slade netted twice as Bemerton Heath Harlequins romped to a 3-1 victory over Hamworthy United in Sydenhams Wessex Premier .
His first came on 20 minutes when he latched onto Adam Costello's arrowed free kick and jinked the ball past Gerard Benfield.
Seven minutes into the second half and Hamworthy were on level terms after Greg Horlock's downward header was spilled by Max Frampton into the net.
Heath, who have been boosted by Shaun Brian joining Graham Kemp's management team at Western Way, restored their one-goal cushion in the 77th minute through substitute Graham Mankin. The returning central defender reaped the rewards from Frampton's long punt forward, rifling the ball into the bottom corner.
And moments later, Slade completed his brace by cashing in on another un-cleared set piece.
