SUBSTITUTE Liam Triggs emerged from the dugout to fire an 82nd minute matchwinner for Newport IOW over Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
Within seven minutes of coming on, Triggs raced through, after Tom McInnes' pass carved Bemerton's defence wide open, and slotted the ball into the net.
That came moments after Quins' skipper Jack Slade was given his marching orders, picking up a second yellow card in the space of 15 minutes.
Russell Cook thought he had salvaged a point for the visitors but his goalbound effort was blocked by Darren Powell.
The defeat was the first for Graham Kemp's men in the league this month.
They host Moneyfields on Saturday.
