BEMERTON Heath Harlequins went tumbling out of the Wessex League Cup on Tuesday night following a 2-1 defeat to Sydenhams Wessex Division One leaders Portland United.
Graham Kemp's charges were beaten after Ross Carmichael and Lewis Whyton netted for Portland, who are seven points clear and have two games in hand on nearest-rivals Amesbury Town.
Russell Cook was on target for Heath but they couldn't find a second as they got knocked out at the quarter-final stage.
It was a second cup defeat in a fortnight for the Western Way outfit, having being thumped 5-1 in the Wiltshire Senior Cup semi-final by Melksham Town.
