LAVERSTOCK and Ford made the ideal start to their Sydenhams Wessex Division One campaign after romping to a 5-0 win over Wiltshire rivals Pewsey Vale.
Russell Jones' deflected opener gave Lavvy a half time lead before the floodgates opened after the resumption.
Joe Sanger doubled Lavvy's cushion on 72 minutes before Jones, who last season netted 29 goals, completed his hat-trick with a quickfire double. Rob Gallagher then added a fifth late on.
It's a result which takes them to the summit of the table.
In the Premier Division, Bemerton Heath Harlequins opened their account with a spicy 2-2 draw with Brockenhurst in which both sides were reduced to ten men after 40 minutes. David Legg, who had just returned from a holiday in Florida, was given his marching orders following a fracas.
On the scoresheet for Heath were Elliot Cross and Sam Griffin.
It's FA Cup action on Saturday and three of our teams enter in the extra preliminary round.
Bemerton host Keynsham Town while Lavvy travel to Brockenhurst and Amesbury Town are at Sherborne. All are 3pm kick offs.
