LAVERSTOCK and Ford recorded a seventh straight victory for the first time in the Sydenhams Wessex League following a remarkable 8-1 victory at the expense of Folland Sports.

Seb Dawes opened the scoring on five minutes, meeting Russell Jones' cross with a powerful header.

In-form Joe Sanger doubled the lead and the impressive Adam Bourner slotted home from the spot on 32 minutes to ensure the game was all but won by half time.

The second half continued with one-way traffic as Rob Gallagher and Russ Jones found the net in a four-minute spell shortly after the resumption.

Then, Adam Jones deservedly got on the score sheet with a neat finish.

Follands pulled a consolation back but Jamie Smith headed in his first for Lavvy before Dawes clipped in his second to make it 8-1.

It's a result that sees Lavvy maintain their 100 per cent start to the season, cementing second place behind early Division One leaders Hamble Club, who beat Downton FC.

Macauley N'Jie's goal had put the Robins ahead until Hamble fought back from Michael Byrne and Doug Rowe for a 2-1 win.
