A SCOTT Joyce hat-trick saw Bemerton Heath Harlequins secure a hard-fought 3-2 away win at promotion-hopefuls Moneyfields in Sydenhams Wessex Premier.

Joyce struck first early on and then added an excellent second ten minutes into the second half.

But, in a crazy ten minutes, Heath conceded two goals and Moneyfields were level.

In the final quarter, it looked like the hosts were going to complete the revival but, instead, Joyce grabbed a winner, and his third. He now is up to third in the goal chart standings, behind ex-Salisbury goal machine Jamie White and Mark Barker.

Heath boss Graham Kemp, whose side have won four games on the trot in all competitions, said: "We defended manfully and held on for three huge points.

"I felt we won the game twice and showed great character after conceding two in quick succession.

"Money's away is probably the hardest place to go in our league so it was a huge win for us. Fair play to the lads they were right on in from start to finish."

Kemp has bolstered his troops with the signing of Jake Burgess from AFC Totton.

Two years ago, Burgess signed with Football League side Leyton Orient on a one-year deal after winning the Samsung Win A Pro Contract competition.

Meanwhile, Jason Collins and Tom Rees have departed Western Way for league rivals Verwood Town.

Elsewhere, Amesbury Town slipped to a second successive defeat at AFC Portchester.

Tyler Brockway was on target for the Blues in a 2-1 loss.
