STRUGGLING Amesbury Town earned a vital point in a hotly-contested goalless draw with Cowes Sports in Sydenhams Wessex Premier.
Blues, whose defence have shipped nine goals in their past three games, kept a clean sheet at Bonnymead Park for the first time in the league since August 13.
Skipper Craig Wheeler who, after cutting his head following a clash, mustered the hosts' best chance. He found space from a cross but failed to tuck it away.
Amesbury host Hamworthy United on Saturday (3pm).
