AMESBURY Town came from behind to defeat Hamworthy United 2-1 in what was their first Sydenhams Wessex Premier victory since the end of August.

The visitors were on course for three points when Matt Kemble gave them a 48th-minute lead.

Paul Coventry netted the equaliser on 80 minutes.

Late on, Tyler Brockway was adjudged to have been fouled and was awarded a penalty. From the resulting spot kick, he slotted home to give Amesbury the three points.

The win saw them halt a winless streak of seven league games as they moved up to 14th.

Rivals Bemerton Heath Harlequins were held to a second league draw in the space of five days.

Their game with AFC Portchester ended goalless.

Heath stay in sixth place.
