UPBEAT boss Graham Kemp says Bemerton Heath Harlequins are full of confidence ahead of their Buildbase FA Vase first round replay with Plymouth Parkway.

The Western Way outfit make the 260-mile round trip on Saturday for a place in the second round.

The teams couldn't be separated, even after extra time as it finished 2-2.

Sam Griffin had given Bemerton a lead heading into the interval.

Two minutes after the restart Steve Colwell levelled for the South West Peninsula League Premier Division high-fliers. Then, Mike Smith slotted them in front.

Heath hitback when Sam Griffin was impeded in the area and a penalty was awarded. Topscorer Scott Joyce duly dispatched for his 19th of the campaign.

Both teams pressed for a winner in the additional 30 minutes but a matchwinner never arrived.

"I felt it was probably a fair result," Kemp reflected.

"We finished the stronger but they had been on top after scoring their second. "We showed great character to recover after going behind and now can travel down knowing we are capable of beating them.

"Jon Blake and Adam Costello were outstanding and if we play to our potential we have a good chance."

If Heath are successful, they will pocket £900 in prize money and face Cullompton Rangers - in the same league as Plymouth - away on Saturday, November 12.

Wessex Premier rivals Amesbury Town were dumped out of the competition following a 1-0 home defeat to Hellenic League Premier Division outfit Briscombe and Thrupp.

The winning goal came on 23 minutes when Ollie Pitt rifled a fierce drive into the top corner.
