THICK fog foiled Bemerton Heath Harlequins from recording a fifth successive away victory at Hamworthy United on Tuesday night.

Goals from Scott Joyce, Sam Griffin and Micky Hubbard, opening his account for the term, had seen Heath lead 3-1.

But after fog struck at the County Ground, officials deemed the conditions unplayable and the Sydenhams Wessex Premier clash was abandoned on the hour mark.

Boss Graham Kemp, who has been linked with a return to his old stomping ground at Hamworthy, scotched the rumours.

Elsewhere, Amesbury Town suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Portland United.

Two goals inside 21 minutes from Jamie Beasley and Tom Richardson put the visitors in the ascendancy before Max Buckler added a third late on.

In Division One, Laverstock and Ford bounced back from their 8-3 wobble Ringwood Town inflicted with a 3-2 victory at home to Weymouth Reserves.
