A LAST-GASP equaliser denied Downton a much-needed victory on the Isle of Wight in Sydenhams Wessex Division One.
The Robins had taken the lead at Beatrice Avenue on 20 minutes thanks to Declan McGregor's wonder strike.
Vics battled to stay in the game and, after some excellent saves from keeper Cameron Farley, the Island side managed to steal back a goal in the dying minutes through Daniel Verstraeten.
The result leaves Downton in ninth place.
Laverstock and Ford remain top of the pack despite not playing on Saturday.
Their game at United Services of Portsmouth was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Their title rivals Hamble suffered the same frustration at home to Ringwood Town.
It means Lavvy stay top by five points but Hamble have two games in hand.
On Saturday, Lavvy travel to Tadley Calleva while Downton welcome third-placed Baffins Milton Rovers to Wick Lane.
