HAPLESS Amesbury Town continue to look over their shoulder after tumbling to a seventh successive defeat in Sydenhams Wessex Premier.
The Blues were left licking their wounds on Tuesday night after Charlie Willett’s 47th minute strike sealed a 1-0 win for hosts Lymington.
It came three days after Blues were thumped 4-1 at home to promotion-chasing Blackfield and Langley.
After Cameron Roach had guided the Blues into an early lead, Manny Soetan hit back for 1-1 before new arrivals Harry Jackson and Mike Turvey chipped in with a goal apiece and ex-Salisbury striker Jamie White plundered his 35th of the season.
Player/manager Adam Pearson is still awaiting his first victory since he replaced Jim Macey in the hot seat five games ago.
His charges have slipped down to 16th place but are 10 points above the bottom three.
They look for an improvement and a first win since January 14 at high-flying Horndean on Saturday (3pm).
