BEMERTON Heath Harlequins bounced back to winning ways with a 2-1 success away at Shaftesbury.
The visitors won the game thanks to goals from Jack Slade and Seb Dawes.
Bemmy boss Rae Hughes was delighted after the win and said: "This was a valuable three points. Shaftesbury are a good side and were the better team in the first half.
"We did well to go in at 1-1 playing up the slope against a strong wind. We were much better in the second half and deserved to take all three points."
Last Saturday, Bemmy found league leaders Blackfield and Langley top hot to handle as they suffered a rare league loss losing 8-0.
Hughes said: "All the lads are extremely disappointed with the way we performed. We really didn’t get going and just got blown away by Blackfield who were quite simply miles a head of us in every aspect.
"It is disappointing as we know on our day we can compete with any team in this league. We have been on a fantastic run in the league for the last couple of months. Although extremely disappointing, I believe this experience will only make this young group stronger in the long term."
Bemerton ninth in the Wessex Premier Division are away to seventh placed Horndean on Saturday and then face a trip to Baffins Milton Rovers on Monday, who are two places below them in the table.
