REDLYNCH and Woodfalls made up for the disappointment of last year’s semi-final exit by capturing the Wiltshire Junior Cup.

Despite the absence of main stay Julian Newman at the back and a late call up for rookie custodian Karl Bryant, the new look defence kept the away side at bay with the impressive James Morrish getting his head onto everything.

The second half continued in the same vain and the breakthrough came after 70 minutes when Dave Hatch was tripped in the box.

Topscorer Ben Read coolly slotted the ball home for his 39th goal of the season.

Ten minutes later a mix up between keeper and defender allowed Andy Savage the opportunity to double Redlynch’s lead and he sealed the victory with a sublime chip over the keeper from the edge of the box.
