Hot cross Holmes demands Good Friday response
SALISBURY City manager Nick Holmes is hoping the busy Easter Bank Holiday week of fixtures will propel his side back into contention for a play-off place.
The Whites boss was disappointed that his side failed to pick up all three points in last week's home match with strugglers Farsley Celtic - an own goal three minutes from time sparing their blushes.
And with old foes Histon heading his way tomorrow (Friday), Holmes knows City will have to improve if they are to take anything off the Cambridgeshire club who moved above them in the table after their midweek win against Ebbsfleet United.
Salisbury have lost their last three games against Steve Fallon's side, who clinched automatic promotion to the Blue Square Premier at Salisbury's expense last season.
"We're going to have to do something a little bit better to beat our old rivals," he warned.
Whites then visit Woking on Bank Holiday Monday before hosting Stevenage Borough in Thursday's televised contest.
