An evening with Sir Tom
SIR Tom Finney proved he's still a hugely popular attraction when he visited Salisbury Guildhall last night for a fundraising dinner.
The legendary former Preston North End and England player was the special guest of The Rotary Club of Salisbury helping to raise cash for the Alzheimer's Society and other charities supported by Salisbury Rotary Club.
Along with Salisbury City manager Nick Holmes, his former Saints boss Lawrie McMenemy and current Southampton manager Nigel Pearson, Sir Tom, 86, took part in an entertaining Q&A session and signed numerous autographs for an appreciative audience.
Various items of memorabilia were also auctioned to further boost the amount raised for the causes.
