A NOBLE car fan will star at Gurston Down’s actionpacked programme this weekend.

The Earl of Pembroke will make his Salisbury track debut in the Spire FM Midsummer Speed Fest on Sunday.

Having previously driven at Gurston in a Bugatti Veyron during visits associated with the Classic and Supercars Show held at his Wilton House estate, Lord Pembroke will compete against the clock for the first time on the hill in the Chairman’s Invitation class in a 2.0 Honda S2000.

Lord Pembroke, who has racing experience at the likes of Goodwood, Silverstone, Spa and Castle Coombe, will be among more than 140 car racers and 30 motorcyclists.

Many of whom, on Saturday, will be involved in contesting for the Baylis and Harding Porsche Club Speed Championship. Competition prepared production cars, sports racing cars and single seaters will also feature.

Action on both days stars at 1pm.

Adults cost £10 and under 15s, who are accompanied by an adult, go free.
