A PSYCHOLOGY teacher at South Wilts captured a gold medal after captaining England hockey team at the Masters World Cup.
Miranda MacTaggart, who has taught at the grammar school for 25 years, recently represented England in Rotterdam where they competed against Australia, New Zealand and Holland in the over 55s tournament.
The team, consisting of players across the country, won all six games without conceding a goal, scoring 26 in the process.
In the final, they smashed Holland 4-0.
Away from the classroom, MacTaggart plays for Salisbury Hockey, where she captains the side, and works with ladies and girls’ teams in the club.
