ALL-round swimmers from Durrington Otters dived their way to a fourth-round victory as the Moonraker Summer League came to a close.

Durrington’s swimmers took on the likes of Westbury, Warminster and Bradford-on-Avon in Durrington Swim-ming and Fitness Centre.

The hosts were fired up and made an explosive start, netting six first positions from the initial ten races.

Further first places from individuals continued from Joshua Bills in under 14s freestyle, Rory Burton (open butterfly), Sarah Falconer (under 16s backstroke), James Hartwell (under 16s butterfly), Georgia Allen (under 14s backstroke) and Matt Chapman and Emma Oliver (open breaststroke).

After 40 races, the points were in and this time the Otters were eight points ahead – the excitement was palpable.

Further wins and strong seconds, with Luke Passmore and Joe Oatley stepping in at the last minute, were gathered to ensure Otters stayed in front, finishing on 143 points.

Otters’ strong finish cemented third place overall in the standings.
