CONFIDENT Gary Topley, pictured, has flown to America for the World Powerlifting Championships.
The Salisbury powerlifter landed in Florida on Tuesday ahead of his appearance in the 100kg Men’s Open Class today at West Palm Beach Box Convention Centre.
Topley, who competes in the world championships annually, is aspiring to lift a 200kg bench press.
“I am feeling extremely confident and raring to go, and I believe I can achieve my goal of a 200kg bench press.
“I'm really happy to be back in the USA competing on the world stage.”
