WILTSHIRE are preparing for their maiden clash with England in short mat bowls, as the two face off in a friendly today.
Players from Salisbury will be representing their county against the national under-21s at the Christie Miller Sports Centre, Melksham.
This is the final warm-up game for the country’s bowlers before they play in the British Isles Championships in May.
County president Colin Waldeck (Seend) said: “We’re pleased and privileged to be playing this game.
“We hope to do well and we hope that younger players will be encouraged to play short mat bowls.”
The game will start at 10am and will go on until 4pm.
