SOUTH Wilts bowed out of the 2015 ECB indoor cricket championship after losing to Cornwall Premier League outfit St Austell.
Winning the toss at Somerset’s County Ground, South Wilts elected to bat first, making 88 for 4 in their 12 overs. Main contributors were Rob Pittman (21), Sam Pittman (20no) and Marc Burton (17no). Gary Bond was pick of the Cornish bowlers with 3-19.
After a slow start and having lost two early wickets, the St Austell innings was rebuilt by Gary Bond (25) and Martin Bond (20) before the final pair saw them home by the narrowest of margins.
