TALENTED players of FC Salisbury United reached the finals of the FA Futsal Cup with a comprehensive victory over national league side University of Nottingham.
United turned on the style and won by an impressive 8-4 scoreline.
With qualification to the finals already guaranteed prior to the game, it gave the team’s man - agement a perfect time to rotate some of the squad and tryout routines from training ahead of the upcoming tournament in June.
Manager Justin Prentice told the Journal: “United have proven themselves to be a futsal force, placing Wiltshire on the map in the futsal community.
“We will now work hard with the finals in mind to give ourselves the best chance possible on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.”
The club has also made a major new signing with the arrival of Bath Futsal Club captain Michael Wooten.
Coach Geoff Bonner says the arrival will bolster their squad.
