MOTORSPORT fans flocked to Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb for two days of championship action.
Crowds were treated to a selection of two, three, and four-wheeled machinery, with drivers and riders racing against the clock on the 967 metre course. Ed Hollier set the Best Time of the Day (BTD) on both days in his 1.6 Empire Evo single seater, despite struggling to get near previous best times in the cool and dusty conditions.
Stapleford’s Stephen Moore steered his 2.0t Mitsubishi Evo 6 to pole position in the over 2000cc roadgoing series production class on Saturday, recording the only sub-35 second time in the category.
Chris Cannell from Salisbury (2.6 Force SR8) won the over 2000cc sports libre class on Sunday, after bagging second spot in the amalgamated sports libre class on Saturday in his stunning new 1.3s Empire Evo.
The next event at Gurston is the British Hillclimb Championship event on May 23 and 24.
