A FRIENDLY-NATURED netball tournament is coming to a Salisbury venue.

People are encouraged to get involved in a free Back to Netball event at Sarum Academy, which is being delivered by Wiltshire Council working in partnership with the Salisbury and District Netball Association.

It’s open to the whole family, with the aim of playing netball in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere.

There will be the opportunity to take part in games and other netball activities.

It has a special focus for people who have not taken to the court for a few years and will provide a gentle re-introduction to the game led by qualified coaches.

Jonathon Seed, cabinet member for leisure, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for all the family to get involved in sport and physical activity and encourage a healthy lifestyle. We hope this will lead to more women being involved in regular sport.”

The event a week Saturday is on from 2.30pm to 4pm.
