FATHER'S Day is being marked at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb with a string of drivers in flash motors looking to steer their way to top finishes.

Sunday (June 21) will feature a sea of Ferraris contending the Pirelli Ferrar Hillclimb Challenge at the Broad Chalke track, as well as the usual field of production-based racers, sports racing and racing cars competing.

The emphasis for Saturday's (June 20) racing sees lightening-quick Porsches contesting the Porsche Club Speed Championship with Pirelli, plus a full programme of other highly-entertaining racing.

Racers representing Salisbury at Spire FM's Midsummer Speed Fest are the Fieldfare team, Adrian Lewis, Steve Holley, Stephen Moore, James Dean, Chris Cannell and Sue Hayes.

Making his debut, with a new car, will be Tony Levitt, who will field his 1.0 Empire Evo single-seater in the up to 1100cc racing car class.

Practice starts at 8.30am on both days, with racing getting the green light at 1pm.

Admission is £10, while accompanied under-15s go free.
