DOWNTON Moot was the hub of activities on Saturday as Sarum Orienteers' hosted their club championships.
Two challenging courses, set by last year's ladies' champion Lucy Butt, ment everyone had to run two courses, with the fastest combined scores deciding the titles.
Alex Buck's (M16) impressive time of 16mins 59secs landed him the men's title, while Carolyn Dent took the women's crown with 25.27.
Joan and Peter Hambleton shared the Muriel Ley Trophy for the fastest senior woman and man.
The following day, Sarum headed for Canford School in Dorset to compete in the annual Furrow Hoppers Relay.
Sarum's team of five, comprising Denise Mullins (W60), Liz Yeadon (W65), Dave Battison (M65) and the Hambletons (M70), produced an error-free run to take an excellent second place behind the winning team from host club Wimborne.
