A SPORTY quartet travelled to the capital city for a major triathlon.
Salisbury Tri Club's Chris Pascoe, Ruth Thom, Alan Bayliss and Andy Fallon took part in various categories.
Taking on the London Olympic Plus, consisting a 1.5k swim, 80k bide ride and 10k run, was Pascoe, who finished in a time of three hours and 59 minutes.
Thom completed her Olympic distance race in 2:31, and was 18th female across the line.
Fallon, competing in his first Olympic distance triathlon, recorded a time of 2:50:26.
Bayliss also raced the Olympic distance event in the increasing heat of the city, where he finished in 3:14.
Out of the country in Dublin, Helen and Shaun Benfield raced in the Ironman 70.3 Dublin.
Shaun completed the 1.2 mile sea swim, 56 mile bike and half marathon in a time of 5:11
Helen finished her race in a speedy time of 7:16.
