SALISBURY host another six race card on Friday, packed full of quality and attracting some star acts to Netherhampton yet again.

The star of the racing show is Irish Grand National and Cheltenham Festival winning jockey, Katie Walsh, who is booked to ride last time out Salisbury winner, Cricklewood Green, in the opening Shipseys Marquees Lady Riders Handicap. Sister to top jumps jockey, Ruby, Katie Walsh will be visiting Salisbury for the first time and is yet another high profile jockey to grace Salisbury following on from Gerald Mosse’s visit last Thursday.

The feature race of the evening is the EBF Stonehenge Stakes, a Listed race worth £30,000 for juveniles. A select field of 6 will go to post, including Richard Hannon’s Tony Curtis, dropping down from an admirable 3rd last time out in the Group 3 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket. Re-opposing Tony Curtis will be Hugo Palmer’s They Seek Him Here who finished just behind the Hannon horse at Newmarket. John Gosden and Sir Michael Stoute complete a formidable Newmarket team of raiders with Hayadh and Platitude set to take their chances, both hold flashy future entries. The field is completed by the Qatar owned duo of Opal Tiara and Flying Empress who are trained by Mick Channon and Ralph Beckett respectively. This year’s renewal of the Listed EBF Stonehenge Stakes looks a hotly contested one.

Two competitive handicaps round off the action, The Breeze Radio Handicap and The Westover Group Handicap; both have attracted support from leading stables and owners and will be equally as competitive as the action has been at Salisbury all season.

Following racing racegoers will be treated to a live performance by Salisbury racecourses headline act, Jack Pack, who were runners up in Britain’s Got Talent, 2014.
