Salisbury’s leading trainer of 2015, Richard Hannon, has a very strong selection for the Group 3 contest, saddling Bahaarah and St. Hugh’s Stakes winner and Cheveley Park Stakes entrant whatdoiwantthatfor. David Evans’ Thatsallimsaying who finished second at the St. Hugh’s Stakes will be re-opposing Whatdoiwantthatfor.
Mayfair lady makes the journey down to Salisbury after her impressive York win and Henry Candy’s La Rioja completes the line up for the powerful Qatar racing operation. The CGA Dick Poole Fillies’ Stakes is always an informative affair and judging by the field engaged in Thursday’s Group 3, this is not set to change in 2015.
Zodiakos and Bell Heather put their respective unbeaten records on the line for trainers Hugo Palmer and Charles Hills in the Whitsbury Manor Stud EBF Stallions Novice Stakes.
Godolphin’s Wordcraft heads the EBF Stallions Breeding Winners “Lochsong” Fillies Handicap for Charlie Appleby while John Gosden sends down a single racer from his Newmarket base in the form of Flying Officer and the last time Gosden’s gelding was seen on the track was at Ascot on Champions day last October.
The ground is set to be on the soft side of good.
Gates open at midday and the first race is at 2.10pm.
