THE DNA Bobsleigh Team has folded.

No title or sponsorship means the team is unable to continue.

Crestfallen team director John Bird said: "It truly saddens me from the bottom of my heart to not take my team on the journey we had hoped for, but without support, we cannot go on.

"I have been putting this decision off for the past two weeks, as I was hoping for a miracle.

"I feel my three and a half years of hard work has all been in vain.

"For all those people who have assisted me, I thank you very very much."
