CHAMPIONS of the pool.
That's Salisbury Stingrays Masters Swimmers who are revelling in the glory of claiming a fifth Wiltshire County Championship title in seven years.
The three stage Masters Swimming competition started in February at Swindon, with a second meet in June at Trowbridge and a final leg hosted by Salisbury at Five Rivers Leisure Centre on October 3.
On that day, they swept to victory in fine style, winning both the men's and women's by 240 points, racking up 36 gold medals, two county records and the county relay trophy.
Some 15 teams from Swindon, Corsham, Wootton Bassett, Marlborough, Bradford, Warminster and Chippenham took part in various categories.
And over the eight-month competition, Salisbury accumulated 400 points, the only team closing in was Swindon, who were well shy of that target with 167.
Liz Latter was Salisbury's standout performer with five gold medals.
Also excelling, with four gold medals, Nell Walker, Rob Langan and Wade Graham.
Langan also won the men’s under 39 overall individual champion trophy.
