THERE were an array of winners at Nomansland Cricket Club's presentation evening at the Lamb Inn on Saturday.
Gary Loveless scooped players' player, captain's trophy and Saturday bowling, Terry Harrison Tuesday league batting and bowling and six hit trophy, clubman was Mark Rowland, Matt Rowland best performance and Sam Dempster Saturday bowling.
Secretary John Barrett spoke of past club legends, including Norman Moore, still holder of the best club figures 9-15 in 1964, Jim Luke, a fearsome left arm quick with a 30-yard run up whose claim to fame was bowling England player Maurice Tate in a wartime services match at Lord's, and Terry Spencer, the club's record league wicket taker in a season with 71, achieved in the old Salisbury league in the 70s.
