ONE of the main orienteering events in the New Forest entertained competitors from Salisbury.
The November Classic, held in Burley, saw a highly-competitive field of Sarum Orienteers have notable successes.
Charles Bromley Gardner won the M55 race, chairman Ian Peirce showed his continuing excellent form by winning the M70 race, with captain Charlotte Thornton taking joint second place in that category.
Sarum Orienteers will be running their next event on November 15 at Foxbury Plantation, near West Wellow.
This is a new area for orienteering and the races will be part of the South West Orienteering Association's 50th anniversary.
Newcomers are welcome.
