Cyclist Watkins is eyeing up top 20 finish
AMESBURY'S Alex Watkins is vying for a top 20 place in the Wessex League CycloCross championship in his maiden season.
Watkins, who rides for Salisbury club Sarum Velo, is currently in 16th position after 13 rounds of the 15 round championship.
With two rounds left, Watkins is on 339 points and hopes to catch his nearest rivals in the remaining two rounds.
The final round is at Tedworth house, Tidworth a week Sunday (January 31).
