THE Surrey curse struck again as Fordingbridge RFC crashed out of the RFU London and South East Junior Vase.
'Bridge went out at the third round of the competition following a 25-14 defeat to Reeds Weybridge at the Recreation Ground.
Despite the blustery winds and treacherous rain, rugby was played at high speed from both teams.
The first set of points arrived from the boot of Mat Norton, who kicked three penalties.
But it was the visitors who bagged three ties, one of which was converted to lead 17-9 at the turn around.
With an unconverted try and a penalty in the second half, the visitors were well on top going into the last quarter. Fordingbridge finished strongly when Rob Hay scored the final try of the afternoon as it ended 14-24.
Fordingbridge are back to Snows Hampshire One action next week when they travel to Fareham Heathens.
