THE outdoor season is now underway at Downton Bowling Club.
There is a full programme of league fixtures and several friendly and tour games.
This season, the club will be playing in the Mixed Triples League, designed for new players, which was won last year by Wilton.
Cranbourne are again participating having enjoyed their first season last year.
The ladies are entered into the New Forest League, having finished in third place last year and also the Salisbury and District League.
After announcements that Amesbury and Devizes were leaving the Wiltshire 4 Rink League, Downton’s Men decided to move to the Bournemouth and District League's Division 6. They are also entered into Division 2 of the New Forest League and the Salisbury and District League.
With Downton set for a jam-packed campaign, they are on the lookout for new players, and will be manning a stall at the Cuckoo Fair and at their club on May 15.
All are welcome.
