PAUL Henderson had double delight with two winners in as many days.

The Whitsbury racehorse trainer saddled Alice Pink to land a mares' National Hunt flat race at Ffos Las, West Wales, and 24 hours later sent out Medburn Dream to take a three year olds' handicap over an extended mile at Windsor.

Alice Pink showed the benefit of two previous outings this year and, though starting the 6-1 outsider in the three-runner field, she stormed home by 12 easy lengths under Nick Scholfield in the 2m contest.

Henderson said: “My horses usually take a couple of races to get fully fit and she just galloped away from the other two in that soft ground.”

The six-year-old - by 2001 St Leger winner Milan and a half-sister to smart chaser Colour Squadron – could now go to the sales with this performance under her belt.

Sway kennel owner Eddie Evans was thrilled to bits with Medburn Dream, a colt he owns and bred himself in the New Forest.

“Medburn Dream ran three times last season unplaced over shorter trips and this was his first time over a mile. He always bounces out of the stalls, so the jockey Franny Norton did just that and made all the running," added Henderson.
