A WHITEPARISH athlete scooped two medals at the European Powerlifting Championships in Prague.
Ellie Steel, 24, clinched a gold and silver medal on the international stage for Great Britain.
The golden prize arrived in the bench press, where she lifted double her bodyweight - the first British woman to complete that feat - with 122.5 kilos.
In the squat, she managed 177.5 kilos and then deadlifted 162.5 kilos. Those lifts helped her gain silver for the total amount conquered in the Czech Republic-based championships.
Steel's reward is a place in November's Orlando World Championships, Florida.
