SIXTY-SIX horses are entered for Salisbury's Family race day this Sunday on a seven-racecard that features some of the biggest names in the sport.

Throughout the day, Salisbury will be marking the Queen's 90th birthday, as well as providing plenty of children's entertainment and some quality action on the racetrack.

The feature race of the day is the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Cathedral Stakes, which has attracted a high-class field of 12 for this year's renewal. Those entries are headed up by last year's winner Absolutely So, who has been targeted at this race and has only run once since last year's victory.

Andrew Balding's charge looks to face stiffer opposition this year, however, which is spearheaded by Godolphin's high-class colt Charming Thought. Last seen winning the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on Future Champions Day in 2014, Charming Thought will have to defy a lengthy absence to land Sunday's feature. However, as the only Group 1 winner in the field, and with William Buick in the saddle, it wouldn't be a surprise to see this well-regarded four-year-old return with a bang.

Richard Fahey makes the long trip South with Don't Touch who was last seen finishing a close fifth at The Curragh in the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes. That was Don't Touch's first defeat in seven appearances and Fahey's colt has a big chance of re-starting that winning sequence on Sunday.

The Group 1 placed duo of Danzeno and Strathburn take their chance for Mick Appleby and Charles Hills respectively; both have run nicely on their seasonal re-appearances this season and are likely to be in prime condition for a challenge in this highly-competitive event.

Sprinting stalwart Kingsgate Native attempts to add another title to his resume aged 11 as Naadir, Burnt Sugar, Polybius, Moonraker and Watchable complete what is a high-quality sprint and could be one of the races of the season at Salisbury.

The supporting five races are equally as competitive and the card opens with the Blind and Track Service Handicap which sees David Simcock and Jamie Spencer team up with Red Cardinal who is unbeaten following a switch to turf.

The Toby Balding Memorial Novice Stakes could throw up another high class winner following dual Group 2 winner Gutaifan's success last year. 10 unexposed horses take their chance on Sunday as Richard Hannon goes head to head with former stable jockey Richard Hughes with Zebby Sizz and Curve Ball making their racecourse debuts while Clive Cox saddles Mister Sunshine; the only horse in the field to have won a race to date.

Sunday's racing starts at 2.15pm, with gates opening at midday.
