SALISBURY Tri Club (STC) headed north at the weekend for the Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire and the ITU World Triathlon Leeds.
Scott Hill finished the 1.3 mile swim in 32.04, the 56 mile bike in 2.30 and the 13.1mile run in a speedy 1.24 to finish in 4.32.13.
That time saw him finish third in age group and 21st overall, being enough to qualify for the 70.3 world championships.
Samantha Cain made it through a dark swim, stormy bike section and completed the half marathon to finish the half iron distance race in seven hours.
Hannah Yates took part, along with 5,000 others, in the ITU World Triathlon at Leeds, racing the same course as elites Vicky Holland, Jodie Stimpson and the Brownlee brothers. Completing the open race standard distance, Yates had a finish time of 2.43, after a 27 minute 1500m swim, cycling 41k in 1:14 and running 10k in 52 mins.
